Sink or Swim

There has been news that my ogre boss is going to be transferred to another department.  Heard it from the girls giggling in the pantry when I went to get coffee.  Didn’t mean to eavesdrop as my original purpose was to get caffeine but the news got me more upbeat and caffeine was only able to reinforce the good feeling I felt when I accidentally heard that news.  It is a sign of a better tomorrow, definitely.

Why did I said gruesome?  Work was less than a few inches than hell.  Deadlines, deadlines.  It would be a safer world if there were really no unreasonable deadlines.  Makes one wonder if the bosses really came from down the ranks or they were just thrown at those high paying positions with nothing to do but sit all day and wait for the reports.

It would really mean something if they can just do a little hands on to know that the deadlines they set aren’t realistic and are just plain bogus.

Okay so I got hired. I have a more regular job now, but its work from home. Not bad, works out for me although the demands are quite high. Its a tricky field, so to speak. I’m what, a couple of weeks into it. Still trying to get used to it all, hope I last. But with the looks of things, I just might not! *coughs*

This week was unbelievably tiring. My work and personal life have been getting maltreatment from each other. I woke up at 4 in the morning today to do a production shoot that badly needed my assistance and a friend was deeply involved in the project so, I really had to show up. It went well, but after that, another responsibility had to be taken care of.

The sound engineer was obscenely late by 3 hours and so the rest of the working hours had to be moved later, which produced commotion between my work and I. I couldn’t have simplified the day any better as time had been truly victimized. After the realization, another thing popped into mind. I had other responsibilities.

I had to head on to another video production–which also involved friends out of town. I was doing head of the scripts for 2 projects in the same day. What kind of luck is this! The past few weeks have been quiet, you know the scheduling god could’ve done something about this, but no.

I am working in between work right now, as we speak.
